A sound in the sky, often reported as a metallic revolving noise, which caused the deaths of hundreds of people throughout J—, O—, and M— districts, and the abandonment of those places. How these deaths occurred is still a matter of conjecture, as all autopsy reports have been classified or destroyed by U— City authorities. However, the few eyewitness accounts we have indicate that it kills when the victim comes into close proximity, the revolving sound usually being described as hovering directly above the victim. M.I.F. staff conclude this must either be due to some kind of ultra-sonic frequency in the air, or an undetectable airborne pathogen. In either case, this makes UP002 extremely dangerous, and any attempts by M.I.F. personnel in the future to investigate in the event of its reemergence must be handled with extreme caution.
Notes — Emits a revolving metal sound overhead. No physical description has as of yet been reported, the few accounts of victims usually describing it as invisible. Also seems to have some sort of psychological effect, victims often reporting hearing the voices of their deceased loved ones, often in an attempt to draw them outside.

A light which appeared on the cargo ship S.S. Sargossa, as well as the Moar Island Lighthouse. Responsible for turning the crew of the Sargossa mad, and for the disappearance of the lighthouse repair crew sent to investigate a malfunction on Moar Island. UP003 is believed to have caused both incidents, as eyewitness from both the Sargossa and Moar Island have very similar accounts.
Notes — The Light can take on either a pale yellow or red glow, and is accompanied by a sound which is often described as a mechanical track, or tank treading noise. The effect of the Light seems to be mainly psychological, with victims reporting both audio and visual hallucinations, before becoming violent and suffering complete mental breakdowns.
Further, the timeline of events from when the Sargossa left port to when she reappeared is completely inconstant with the amount of time the Sargossa was purported to be missing by her only known survivor. Also, the testimony of Arthur Flannon on Moar island describes being stranded for months, when only days could have actually passed. Due to these inconsistencies, it is being seriously debated amongst M.I.F. personnel if the Moar Island Light may have some unknown effect on the fabric of space and time as we know it. Any re-emergence of the phenomenon therefore must be studied with the utmost caution, as the long-term effects on close contacts, both physiologically and psychologically, is currently unknown.
